MOST COMMON QUESTIONS
If bowling, darts, and axes had a baby it would be axe throwing! After instruction from a coach you will throw an axe towards a target. You are awarded points based on where the axe lands!
You will need to bring/wear closed toed shoes in order to participate in axe throwing. You won’t need to bring anything else specific. We will provide the axes and the fun!
Yes! You are welcome to bring beer, wine, or hard seltzer into Waco Axe Co. No liquor/distilled spirits.
We have an ice machine and can fill your cooler or set you up with a small bucket of ice.
Our only restriction is age. Throwers must be at least 13 years old. We can work with any skill level, strength or ability! All ages welcome inside to cheer on throwers.
Yes! Our booking system does have the capability to allow you to split payment between you and others in your group! Once you reach the checkout page there is an option to choose “pay in full” or “split payment.” Please note a payment is not taken at the time of checkout but you will need to follow instructions in your confirmation email. From that email you can make a payment and you can forward a link to the other members in your group for them to pay their portion.

Many of our customers have never been to an axe throwing establishment and we often receive this question. Tipping your axe coach is a great way to show them you appreciate their efforts in making your experience at Waco Axe Co enjoyable!
Sure! So long as you let our staff inspect the axe before throwing. No double bladed axes please.
We do have the option of adding on one hour of throwing time for $15. However, we can only add on time if there is availability after your booking.
Yes! As long as you are following the safety rules. Like most sports there is a chance for injury (although unlikely). Our coaches and staff are trained to keep you as safe as possible throughout your experience as well as make sure you have a great time.
Absolutely! You will have a coach that is with you the entire time to make sure you have a safe and fun time. They will help you improve your throwing skills while also facilitating games throughout the experience!
Typically first time throwers with two up to about six or eight throwers in a group can get enough throwing in one hour. You are always welcome to book 2 hours for as little as one thrower though! We do allow groups to have up to 12 throwers in one bay for an hour because we understand some may have time or budget constraints. We will always have a coach instruct throwers to ensure your time throwing is satisfactory! Meaning you’ll be sticking that axe in no time!
We have sodas, water, tea and snack foods such as chips and candy bars for sale. We also have our Texas Alcohol & Beverage Commission: Wine and Malt Beverage Retailer’s Permit (BG). Which means we sell cans of beer, wine and seltzer. We also allow outside beer, wine and seltzers to be brought into Waco Axe Co at no charge. Be prepared to show a valid ID. In addition we allow outside food to be brought in or delivered.
Sure can as long as you have 8 or more throwers in your group! Our hours of normal operation are Wed-Thurs 5pm-10pm, Fri 5pm-11pm, Sat 12pm-11pm and Sun 2pm-6pm. Any other time we are by appointment only. We often host corporate events during the daytime. Just reach out and we will do our best to make it happen!
Bring it! We have hosted all types of fun gatherings; birthdays, graduations, gender reveals, retirement, employee bonding and more. You are welcome to bring decorations, balloons, food, coolers, etc. We want you to have a memorable celebration with us! Think you’ll have more than 30 guests? We suggest you look into renting the entire facility for a private event!
At this time we have no special rooms or packages but we will do our best to make sure all desires are met!
Yes!! Assuming you haven’t already reached the maximum capacity of 12 throwers. With that being said, you can fit up to 12 throwers in a lane. The additional throwers can pay when they arrive. Remember non-throwers are free!
